Build Your Own Blocks (BYOB)
BYOB is an acronym for Build Your Own Blocks. It is an open source programming language much like Scratch that can be downloaded from the UC Berkeley website. It was developed by Jens Monig with assistance from Brian Harvey from UC Berkeley and is used to teach “The Beauty and Joy of Computing” introduction course at the University. The goal of the summer work plan is to provide resources and strategies for teaching BYOB.
